A salary sacrifice donation program was implemented in Arup’s Australasia Region to provide much needed support to the Philippines which suffered widespread devastation after Typhoon Haiyan in November 2013.
Referred to as a Super Typhoon, Haiyan affected an estimated 10 million people who have lost family members, their homes and livelihoods.
Arup and staff contributed a total donation of A$17,462 to programs run by Habitat for Humanity in the Philippines. Habitat for Humanity, one of Arup’s charity partners, was part of the immediate response to the disaster and will remain in the country to help local communities rebuild.
