Through the firm’s strategic partnership and with staff support of the Bridges to Prosperity charity, Kayin Dawoodi and Phil Borowiec (both London) have been instrumental in creating the charity’s first satellite organisation. The ‘Bridges to Prosperity UK Charitable Trust’ is now a recognised charity in the UK.
This new entity aims to support Bridges to Prosperity’s global activities by seeking new sources of fundraising and support, initially from the UK and then the rest of Europe. A long-term goal of the expanding charity will be to facilitate the coordination of their global projects based on proximity to the various time-zones, simplifying communication and the successful delivery of projects.
This is a milestone for our involvement with the charity which began in 2010, having led the construction of the only two of their bridges built by a UK firm: Rwanda in 2013 and Panama in 2014. This is set to rapidly grow in 2015 as further sponsors get involved and our staff act as mentors and facilitators in the transfer of knowledge. It is hoped that this will help to maximise the impact of the charity in improving the lives of people in isolated communities worldwide.
